Evolving out of separate solo careers into a fully functioning collaborative unit, Suzie Vinnick, Elana Harte, and Kim Sheppard are enjoying the success of their songwriting union, crafting their songs with the less is more approach. Their shiny new debut disc crosses blues and folk with heavy pop hooks. Live, they bring an electric energy to the stage skilfully playing off each other with chunky rock riffs, blended vocal harmonies and a collective sense of humour. Regardless of the dynamic, the three transcend their line up of three voices, two guitars and a bass coming off more like a full on rock band commanding their pop domain with authority. Moving through a tight range of rocking tunes and hurtin' ballads, they venture beyond the limits of bleak genre based references emerging refreshingly unique, raw, and full of electric flair. Suzie Vinnick An award-winning singer/songwriter, Suzie has also garnered much attention for her multi-musical talents - vocals, bass, guitar, mandolin, and piano among others. Originally hailing from Saskatoon, SK, she has contributed greatly to the Ottawa and Toronto music scenes and is celebrating the release of her 2nd CD entitled “33 Stars”. suzievinnick.com Kim Sheppard A guitarist/singer songwriter with a penchant for catchy pop melodies and grooves, Kim’s energy brings an important dynamic to the VSH sound. Kim’s previous projects include a 5 year stint with Lin Elder in the Edmonton based group, Grace Under Pressure. Elana Harte Born in Montreal, singer songwriter/ guitarist Elana adds a “new country” flavour to the musical presentation of VSH. Her personable and accessible manner and solid approach to writing and performing blend impeccably with Suzie and Kim to complete this project. elanaharte.com
